In our speed driven world yoga is often fast-paced. Yin yoga offers an opportunity to slow down and come back into balance.
As yoga instructors, we often hear, "I can't do yoga. I'm not flexible enough," or, "I can't do those poses."
Well guess what.
You CAN do yoga.
There's a type of yoga for everyone. Yin yoga is great for this group of people that wants more meditation and real benefits from yoga and gentle stretching. All of yin yoga is also done on the mat, which makes it appealing for those in the Baby Boomer demographic.
Our Monday evening yin teacher, Tom Gilmore, a resident of West Pittston, is a Baby Boomer himself!
